"My Beauty Is My Smile"
The motto of every Shero at Sheroes Hangout
In December 2014, activist Alok Dixit and the Chhanv Foundation opened a tiny café in Agra — staffed entirely by women who had survived acid attacks. The world tried to silence them. Instead, they opened a restaurant.
Today Sheroes Hangout spans Agra, Lucknow, Noida, and Delhi — employing 35+ survivors who serve food, craft beautiful handicrafts, and share their stories. Café profits fund reconstructive surgeries and legal aid for survivors across India.
Every branch is staffed by Sheroes who welcome you with open hearts.

Prior to working at the café, many Sheroes covered their faces and rarely left home. Today they serve, laugh, teach, and tell their stories with pride — transforming visitors' lives one conversation at a time.
